Here’s a crazy idea/ designer tip – consider turning a piece of furniture into a sink vanity. At first blush, it may sound strange, but I did this for my own little bathroom and loved it. I bought a vintage Beidermeier chest of drawers which looked great and would have been amazing storage on its own. Then I had my millworker (but a good kitchen cabinet person can help…) modify 2 of the drawers to accommodate the p-trap. Lastly, I finished it with a black absolute stone top and brass fixtures for a one of a kind, totally unique sink vanity.
If crafting a piece of furniture into a unique vanity isn’t quite your speed, you can still emulate the look of my space with one of these vintage biedermeier chests. They’re great storage, and you know I love the sense of history antiques add to a space. Check out some of our favorite finds, and consider adding one of these chests to pack some punch into your décor.
