This vintage two-tiered wood table was found on an antiquing weekend on the North Fork of Long Island. I’m always on the hunt for interesting things, and this table caught my eye with its interesting cut out and unidentifiable use. Maybe it was for a specific purpose, like holding a cooling loaf of bread. Maybe it was just a furniture maker trying out a new idea. (Does anyone know? Tell me if you do!)
From storage to additional surfaces, I love found furniture that brings a sense of history to a space. If you do too, check out some of our favorite found finds, sourced to bring intrigue to your tables. Who knows where they started, or the life they’ve lived, but all are sure to look great in your space for their next chapter.
