Split reed furniture has become a favorite of mine. I’ve decorated our Long Island interior with some vintage finds from nearby Beall and Bell. Shop owner Ginger always has a great selection of interesting furniture and accessories, and these caught my eye. While I intended to repaint them, the off-white color looked so good that I just left them, and changed the cushions.
This style always makes me think of great summer cottages of the East Coast - think Grey Gardens, and the lawns of Newport. While my house is not nearly as grand, Split Reed makes it have a sense of history, one that invites relaxation and curling up with a good book. The decision is easy - our round up of split reed lounge chairs is soon to be your favorite new, old looking chair.
