I love a good industrial light. There’s just something about their bold, weighty heft that can sing, even in the most refined of spaces. I like their sense of history (even if they’re new…) and how they can complement or counterbalance dark and moody or light and lovely spaces alike.
We’re used to seeing industrial lights in pendant form – some of my favorites are authentic or replica forms from factories and mills. These industrial picture lights are another take on the well-worn idea. I’ve played with using them in creative ways, not just for pictures. For example, atop a millwork bookshelf, they cast light down the entirety of the face, and bring a soft, reflected light quality to the room.
