I’ve long loved wingback chairs. My mom had an Ethan Allen version in our house growing up. I inherited one for my first New York apartment (which I painstakingly slipcovered with a friend. I’ve never owned one in leather, but I’ve been lucky enough to place them in projects for clients to add height and heft to their living room.
In our round up of leather wingbacks, we’ve relaxed a bit from the traditional frames. The original looks are still available, but we’ve found others in modern shapes that can sit easily in more casual spaces. Wingbacks add a framing, tall quality to a furniture arrangement – use ours as a way to bring your space to new heights.
