Big mattes, big frames, big floral…
It’s a mantra that I’ve preached since my days at Ralph Lauren, and big floral arrangements usually require a big vase to hold them. I’ve always been partial to urns in all shapes, sizes and finishes, as they add bold architectural interest to a floral arrangement.
Dramatic in their scale and definitive in their look, these vessels are hefty enough to display as large of an arrangement as you can make (as my magnolia arrangement here shows.) Indoors, I’ve added waterproof containers to them and displayed fresh flowers and branches. Outdoors, you can use them to anchor your front door or porch with greenery (my favorite are potted boxwoods with a ring of ivy.)
Urns are a great way to add scale and drama - and some greenery - to any space, and this collection of dark picks are sure to add some muscle to your decorating.
